The board of the Nordic Kennel Union, met in Stockholm on the 24th of September 2015 and made the following statement:

The NKU appreciate the decision made in the European Section General Assembly in Oslo with this mandate to establish a FCI Working Group with the task to change the FCI Standing Orders, Statutes and bylaws in the direction of:

...

1. More focus on dog welfare
2. A change in the voting and influence system
3. A change in the FCI Sections
4. To make the FCI in total more transparent

The NKU appreciate the willingness from the FCI President to work for establishing such a working group.

The NKU discussed concrete points about the topic and will in time before the next General Committee meeting (November) present this prospect for the General Committee and ask them to hand it over to the Working Group.

Finally the NKU discussed a time table for how the work can be done. The time table goes until the end of 2016.
